From adhering to fad diets to braving three-headed blind dates, from perusing the personal ads to winning playground popularity battles, from enduring annoyingly crowded yoga classes to surviving beauty treatments gone terribly awry, these petite sophisticates are hunting (and pecking) for love and happiness in all the wrong places. Despite the frustrating obstacles of real life, they manage to hold fast to their dreams of rock stardom, Hollywood success and supermodel celebrity, and find that occasionally, even a chicken's fairytale wish can come true. About the Author: Sloane Tanen's work has been exhibited in number of shows and can be found in private and corporate collections in Manhattan, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. She received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and holds graduate degrees in literary theory from NYU and in art history from Columbia University. She lives with her husband in New York City.
